I EDC a 9mm because I am confident, competent and proficient with it. While I am comfortable with ball ammunition "NATO" 124gr, I prefer, 115gr +P+ ammunition; you should see what it does when it impacts body armor.
Federal 115gr +P+ is a great performer and a known killer in the law enforcement community. The 9mm's strength relies in its speed.
IMO shy away from the 147gr it may penetrate well, but it does not provide any shock to the body. People trying to take the 9 mm and turn it into a 45.
