When you need a watch that will stand up to pretty much anything you can throw at it, the first in the line of choices is often a G-SHOCK. Since its first model in 1981, the G-SHOCK line has become synonymous with resilience and performance. Though the core principle of being the toughest watch you can wear has remained the same for the past four decades, the G-SHOCK GSWH1000-1 marks a landmark in pushing watch technology forward. With a heritage of toughness at its core and unprecedented tech at its fore, this is the G-SHOCK to wear into the future.

As the first timepiece to run on Google’s Wear OS, the GSWH1000-1 is a multi-sport smartwatch designed to help you track your progress on multiple activities like running, indoor workouts, biking, swimming, and even surfing and snowboarding. Paired with the new operating system is an optical sensor that measures your heart rate, a compass, an altitude/air pressure sensor, an accelerometer, a gyrometer, and GPS functionality, giving you a complete set of sensors and trackers no matter what your activity.

And these are just the features on the watch itself; you can more of the GSWH1000-1’s potential once you connect it to your smartphone via Bluetooth. From there, you can switch watch faces, manage the data that the hardware collects, check training history for any particular activities that you may select, check your messages, and so much more to help you on your day to day. And if you’re worried about battery life and you don’t need any of its smart features, you can run the watch on Multi Timepiece Mode for timekeeping and sensors for up to a month on a full charge.

Despite its significant wrist presence with a 65.9mm case and a weight of 103 grams, the GSWH1000-1 is designed with wearability in mind. It comes with a black resin urethane band, a material that’s both flexible and durable. The components that connect the band with the case and the ones under the case touching your wrist were also selected to provide you with a high degree of comfort. You can also expect the full suite of G-SHOCK toughness: impact resistance, 200 meters of water resistance, a 1.2“ dual layer LCD screen, and a scratch resistant mineral glass keep the watch ticking and tracking for days and years ahead.

The GSWH1000-1 is born and built to be one of the toughest—and smartest—G-SHOCKs you can wear. You can pick one up at the link below.
