When it comes to machined pens for EDC, Tactile Turn is often at the top of the list of recommendations, thanks in big part to their diverse catalog of high-quality offerings. In addition to the variety and customizability you already get from their standard lines, they also feature seasonal releases with additional unique features thrown into the mix. These pens feature exotic and premium materials along with stand-out patterns and designs. The Nautilus is the seasonal release for summer this year, so if you’re a fan of adventures out at sea or ocean-themed gear, this pen might be for you.

The Nautilus borrows its name from the original submarine from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne. The pen’s design brings to life the Mobilis in Mobili principle, which means “changing with change”. The Nautilus comes with an iridescent blue Cerakote coating that shifts color throughout the day, depending on the light it receives. Enhancing it further are metallic gold undertones that bring to mind sand on the ocean floor, and completing the pen’s nautical design is an anchor symbol engraved into its pocket clip.

However, the Nautilus doesn’t just look good; it’s also built to last. The main material used in the body is titanium, giving it one of the best strength-to-weight ratios out there. Thanks to this construction, the pen only weighs 1.2 oz in its largest size, while retaining a crush-proof quality. And to take it one step further, its Cerakote coating is abrasion, chemical, temperature, and scratch resistant, giving it a complete suite of resistance against harmful elements. Adding to its durable features, the Nautilus also comes with a heavy-duty pocket clip securely attached with two bolts like you would find on a high-end knife or flashlight.

The pen is available in three different sizes, giving you choice to pick the one that best suits your day-to-day. First, you have the “Standard,” measuring a full 5.8" and weighing in at 1.2 oz. This version comes with a Pilot G2 0.7 mm refill out of the box. In the middle is the "Short," measuring 5.3" and weighing in at 1.1 oz, and comes with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium refill. Last but not least, the "Mini" sports a portable size and weight of 4.9" and 0.9 oz, complemented by a Pilot G2 Mini 0.7 mm refill. All pens come with the same deployment mechanism, a rear clicky button with a side switch for a satisfying release.

The Nautilus is made in the USA and machined in Texas, and comes backed with Tactile Turn’s Lifetime Warranty. Pick out the perfect-sized pen from their site at the link below, and be sure to grab one before this limited edition ends its run on September 8th.
