Year by year, bag by bag, Aer has built a carry catalog that covers nearly every possible everyday need, from travel to work, business to casual. And as we all creep towards normalcy and the hope of open borders once more, Aer’s ready to get you packing with an update to their flagship Travel Collection. With new designs, better materials, and even more features and usability than ever, they’re the perfect commuting companions, no matter the destination.

The 6 bags in the Travel Collection’s 2022 iteration cover all your bases big and small, and includes two sizes of the new Travel Pack 3, the multi-carry briefcase styled Flight Pack 3, a fresh new look for their super-popular Day Sling as well as a new big brother in the Day Sling Max, and last but not least, a new Travel Kit for your hygiene essentials.

The 35L Travel Pack 3 is Aer’s original bread and butter, setting the design language and feature set that would carry over to their most recent releases. There are familiar trappings to those who have been with Aer a while: 1680D CORDURA nylon in the black colorway, beefy YKK zippers and pulls, and Duraflex hardware for everything else. It retains the DNA of its initial version, including a lay-flat main compartment for easy packing and its minimalist front face bisected by a zippered compartment. It’s Aer’s signature exterior, seen on the bags in this collection as well as other styles like their City Collection.

But it’s the new details that make the Travel Pack 3 so much more usable and exciting. Snap closure compression straps that used to overlap the zippered compartments making for a more difficult packing experience now get out of the way and stay in their own middle lane, letting you access the admin panel, main, and 16“ laptop compartments without having to undo them. The snap hardware also gets replaced with more convenient magnetic fasteners. There are also a number of quality of life improvements literally all around the bag, including handles on each side, a redesigned water bottle pocket, a hidden smart tracker compartment, and even new load lifters to make the onebag travel experience that much more comfortable.

The Travel Pack 3 Small is exactly that, a more compact 28L alternative to its big brother. Rather than giving you all the space for flying out with a single bag, the Small is more of a weekender and daypack alternative when you get to your destination. It comes with all the features of the larger pack (even still able to hold a 16“ laptop), but in a more manageable size that works as well on the ground as in the air.

If you’re on the move from office to office or boardroom to boardroom, the Flight Pack 3 is a smart solution both in style and in versatility, with no small thanks to its 3-way carrying system that lets you switch between carrying it like a backpack, as a sling, or as a sleek briefcase. Beefy, stowable straps and handles give a comfortable wear no matter how the bag is carried, and comes with plenty of space—to the tune of 20L—for all your essentials, including up to a 16“ machine, a water bottle, and also offers a quick-access top pocket for travel documents you need close by.

The Day Sling 3 needs little introduction being one of Aer’s most popular bags, with 3L of organization to empty out full pockets and carry with style. This version returns with a symmetric strap layout for ambidextrous use, and comes with a sleeker new Fidlock magnetic fastener. And while there’s plenty of organization between front, main, and rear compartments, sometimes big days calls for bigger gear, and that’s when the Day Sling Max gets to shine with double the capacity at 6L, with space for up to an 11“ tablet and larger water bottles.

No travel packing list is complete without a robust means to store and separate your personal hygiene effects, and the Travel Kit 2 is up to the task with 2.5L of capacity with convenient bottle-holding elastic loops, divided compartments including a special slot for your toothbrush in use, and a handy hook for keeping the kit close at hand near the sink without it getting wet.

The entire Travel Collection is available now from Aer, with a special $10 discount on both Travel Packs with code PREORDER through Friday, March 25th. Like all modern Aer releases, all bags in the collection also come readily available in VX42 X-Pac with a hi-vis orange interior, so no more waiting and failing on limited drops, in addition to a gray 700D CORDURA option as well.
