Every day, readers like you proudly share photos of their everyday carry on the site.

Not only is looking through their pockets this way super interesting, but it's also a great way to find really cool gear you never even knew existed (yet somehow, suddenly need…).

When you hover over an item you like and click on it in these photos, you're also letting other EDCers know you find that gear interesting. Each click gets recorded to create a data-driven ranking of the most popular gear, which you can find in our Gear section of the site found in the top menu bar.

Gear with the most views and clicks climbs its way to the top of this feed and lets the EDC community know what's trending right this second.

This past April you were interested in a titanium carabiner, a crazy popular pair of pliers, and a suit of armor for your favorite fire source. Let's take a look at all the gear you were most interested in…

Writing off the H4 as simply a carabiner that happens to be titanium wouldn’t do it justice—its original design is as functional as it is aesthetically appealing. The bottom section of the H4 leaves room for a modular system, meaning you can slip on separate split rings with keys or gear as needed. When closed, the carabiner gate securely blocks your gear from detaching. Compared to a traditional design, the gate pivot on the H4 sits further into the frame. This gives you enough clearance when you open it to conveniently remove your gear individually, letting you use them freely without needing extra quick release clips and hardware.

Both the gate and carabiner frame are EDM wire cut with impeccable precision from grade 5 titanium, resulting in an elegantly rugged interpretation of an everyday staple.

Many EDCers have discovered the practical size and utility of Leatherman's Skeletool CX, making it one of the most popular full-sized multi-tools over the past few years. Thanks to a functional design and lightweight build, it hits that sweet spot for anyone looking to EDC both a multi-tool and a competent folding knife. Despite its small size the Skeletool packs a punch. Thanks to its compact, skeletonized body it manages to weigh only 5 ounces for ease of carry. You can also access all the tools with one hand, making it perfect for the solo handyman. A key Skeletool feature is its heavy-duty 154CM blade with a wharncliffe shape for precision cuts. Its other tools include wire cutters, pliers, and a carabiner/bottle opener which lets you attach it to a pack or pop open a beverage rounding out its complement of everyday essentials.

This refined 2020 redesign of Lumintop's popular AA light brings premium aesthetics and a Cree XPL-HD LED that tops out at 650 lumens from a 3.7V 14500 battery. Four output levels and a hidden strobe keep it highly functional, and the clip offers an easy option for EDC. The classic tail switch design from the TOOL series allows for tailstanding and the attachment of a lanyard for easier retrieval from your pocket or bag. The Lumintop TOOL AA 2.0 takes all the right cues from its predecessors, offering plenty of value at an affordable price, especially for the increasingly rare AA platform.

Sometimes you don’t need a full-sized knife for your everyday cutting tasks, or your work environment prevents you from carrying one. That’s where a dedicated, compact utility blade like the Gerber Prybrid Utility comes in. It re-engineers the standard box cutter, offering the convenience of standard replaceable blades while also featuring seven other functions. A steel-cased slide mechanism deploys and retracts the blade smoothly, and fully extending it allows for quick and easy blade replacement. The spine of the tool provides a rigid platform for a prybar, while integrating a wire stripper, a nail puller, flathead drivers, and an always useful bottle opener.

The Leatherman Signal is a full-sized multi-tool that features both the brand’s traditional complement of tools and functions plus some hardy survival options. These include a ferrocerium rod firestarter, a safety whistle, and even a detachable diamond-coated sharpener to help maintain its 2.73" 420HC sheepsfoot combo-edge blade. We find familiar functions packed into its 4.5" long, 7.5 ounce chassis: a variety of pliers, wire stripper, saw, awl, hammer, bottle and can openers, plus extra Phillips and flathead screwdriver bits that you can use with the retractable bit driver.

And because all the locking functions face outward, you can access them without having to unfold the tool or access the pliers. An integrated carabiner, removable pocket clip, and included nylon sheath give you carry options to keep this versatile tool nearby.

In a sea of over-engineered, nigh-indestructible offerings, some selections shine through with uncomplicated and functional designs. At 4.5”x3” this minimal wallet fits into small pockets, and ripstop nylon construction keeps it lightweight yet durable. Two zipper pockets accommodate a handful of cards and cash, one of which has a separate card window for IDs. Finally, the exterior features a key ring that can be tucked into its own pocket for easy access.

The Knipex Cobra XS is one of the most popular compact everyday carry tools and one look at its small size and innovative design makes it easy to see why. This precision-crafted German tool measures 3.9“ in length, but has a quick-adjust box joint mechanism that lets you grip up to a 1“ wide item all the way down to a flat sheet of paper when in its minimum position. Because it’s designed to fit in the fifth pocket of your jeans, you can always have this tool on you as a backup, and it’s great to have underneath a sink as you’re trying to get at nuts and fasteners in awkward spaces without a lot of clearance where larger traditional tongue-and-groove pliers and wrenches would fail.

A suit of armor for an EDC favorite fire source--the classic Zippo lighter--climbs back to the top of our charts for April. The Thyrm PyroVault locks things down in an extremely durable, heat-resistant polymer enclosure sized to accommodate most butane and fluid windproof lighter inserts. It features aggressive grip surfaces and a spring-loaded latch for easy one-handed use. Most importantly, its O-ring seal keeps elements out and minimizes fuel evaporation, making it a much more worthy companion for your outdoor excursions and less likely to run out of fuel when you're out in the field.

The PyroVault also adds one of the most conspicuously absent features on a lighter: a pocket clip. The back of the PyroVault features a low-profile clip designed to attach to MOLLE/PALS webbing on your pack or other compatible gear.

Just want to put this here; for the Gerber Prybrid: on Etsy, search for listing 1101669853 gerber-prybrid-pocket-clip-titanium (sorry, can’t put links on this forum).
The clip is a little pricey considering the cost of the tool, but it completes the tool in my opinion and is worth the extra $.
