G-SHOCK Black x Gold G-STEEL Series

The G-SHOCK G-STEEL line was designed to bridge the gap between the full resin construction of G-SHOCKS with the stainless steel case traditionally used in watches. The hybrid mix results in various styles and color combinations while maintaining the near-indestructible characteristic that’s made the G-SHOCK a fan favorite since its introduction in 1983. The latest addition to the G-STEEL line sees the use of a classy black and gold color combo that injects a touch of sophistication to the usually rugged watch.

The first entry to the Black x Gold G-STEEL Series is the GSTB100GB1A9, weighing 3.6 oz with a large 58.1×53.8×14.1 mm case that showcases a stainless steel bezel ion-plated in gold set against a black base. Its black urethane band contrasts nicely with the gold case, providing a sense of balance to the watch.

Joining the line is the GSTB400GB1A9, which also uses a black resin band complementing a black bezel and gold steel base. It measures 46.6×49.6×12.9 mm and comes in as the lightest of the three models, weighing in at a mere 2.8 oz. Last but not least is the GSTB500BD1A9 which features an almost all-black theme, measuring 46.6×48.9×12.8 mm and weighing a beefier 5 oz thanks to its black stainless steel band with a one-touch 3-fold clasp, offering a supremely significant wrist presence.

While offering distinct styles, each model in the series features a legacy design turbine dial at 9 o'clock, which features a dual-coil motor in a rotating disc dial that moves the blades. It's a unique detail that gave the original GSTB100 model one of the most unique dial designs in the modern G-SHOCK lineup.

All three models feature Bluetooth connectivity to the G-SHOCK Connected app expanding many of their features with built-in Smartphone Link functions. The new models also include Tough Solar Technology, which uses a highly resilient film-like solar panel on the dial that allows the watches to convert power from even the weakest light sources. All three naturally come equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology, including shock resistance, 200M water resistance, Full Auto Calendar, World Time (DUAL TIME), Daily Alarm, Stopwatch, LED (SUPER) Light, and a 24-hour stopwatch and timer.
