It's a big EDC market out there, and tons of awesome gear is released all the time. We made The Drop to help you discover the latest and greatest essentials worth a spot in your EDC.

There's no denying that X-Pac is leading the way when it comes to exotic and premium bag materials. Its history in racing sailcloths, multi-layer construction, and inherent weatherproof qualities all add up to one heck of a final product when used in bags. 1733 is one of the few companies that make X-Pac bags readily available (as opposed to limited drops), and their 7L Side Pack is a roomy sling that sits in between a smaller essentials pouch and a full-on messenger bag.

It's got a roomy main compartment, subdivided interior compartments, and even exterior daisy chain webbing and a removable shock cord to let you modify and extend the bag's capacity as you like. A grab handle and a wide, adjustable release buckle strap let you carry the Side Pack as a briefcase, over the shoulder, or even as an extra large fanny pack if that's how you're rolling for the day.

What we like: X-Pac is always a welcome option, and this eye-searing and eye-catching Fluoro colorway is definitely a statement piece.

What to watch out for: Maybe try the other colorways if you don't want the attention this one will get you. Also on the pricier end of slings, but it's got the features to back it up.

Final verdict: A Goldilocks sling that brings all the features and is sure to turn some heads.
