Thank you for these valuable information. I will try to get some injection. But I would not exclude pills as I want to be as much flexible as possible. This is not much weight to carry.
The post probably isn't the best place for this so I'm putting it here. Have you considered the pros/cons of injection vs pills in a BOB? There are good arguments for either. For instance, injections are certainly more effective immediately but you chance breaking the syringe or bottle. Certain medicines are also difficult to get, as you pointed out. Pills are more prone to deterioration if not protected from the elements and take usually longer to take effect but you can carry more in the same space and have more versatility on using them, such as "plugging" and in some cases converting to injection form.

Morphine is certainly good if you can get it, but as you pointed out is pretty difficult. It does come in pill form as an alternative but there are more than one pill form - longer lasting but lower overall impact (extended release), quick time to effect (immediate release), etc. The immediate release ones can also be crushed up and turned into an injectable form (the others can't due to compounds designed to stop that). Hydromorphones like Dilaudid are going to be about the strongest you can get short of actual morphine but are probably just as difficult to get. Really, several Percocet should be pretty easy to get hold of and should be good enough for most injuries. And if popping several at once isn't enough to keep you mobile, chances are you're too injured to keep moving on your own anyway.

As Adam pointed out, go with whatever you think you can get away with.
