Die casting is not a manufacturing technique common in the flashlight industry, but leave it to Nitecore to make use of its benefits in their latest light, the EC4. Designed to be an outdoor searchlight, the EC4 has the strength and structural integrity to perform in the harshest conditions. It’s light at 6.03 oz, but has better strength, rigidity, and heat transfer thanks to its completely casted aluminum construction. It’s also strong in features, able to use 2 x 18650 or 4 x CR123A cells for 1000 lumens, throwing for 322 meters, and running for a maximum of 260 hours at 1 lumen. Nitecore hasn’t slowed down the slightest bit with their lights this year, and if you need a unique light packed with features for your next adventure, their EC4 is up to the task.
