The Best Community EDC Gear: Pocket Dump from Ken Gray

About This Everyday Carry

Computer programmer and former poultry raiser.

I’ve been watching your site for some time now and enjoy seeing all the pics of pocket dumps. One thing I did notice is how clean and well taken the pics and gear are. Well, here’s my ugly pic of my ugly gear. For the most part, this is what I’ve carried for about 10 years. From commuting into the city day to day at a programming job, to the back acre to fix chicken fencing. Thought you may find the ugly side as an interesting trip to the other side of the tracks.

The leather was cut from 10oz veg tan that I had laying around at the time. I just cut slits in and sewed in some elastic that happened to have. Like I said in the email, I carried this from office to the woods and everywhere in between. I used to have a Leatherman Surge but Leatherman couldn’t figure out how to sell me replacement tools that broke/bent. So, I ditched them the week Roxon came out with the Flex and Flex Companion (once the marline-spike become available).
