I like to have the most minimalistic yet elegant and rugged EDC as possible, since I usually have to wear it with a suit (working in a lawfirm next to my lawschool-studies) Due to my exmilitary past (Austrian Army Medic), I still prefer to carry a blade as a tool and as a last-ditch-selfdefense option (Austrian law prohibits carrying a firearm) I furthermore have a love for the rugged and reliable goods, while trying to maintain a lever of luxury and minimalism.
