About This Everyday Carry
Product manager for window hardware company in MN
As a Product Manager for a window hardware manufacturer, I find myself working in a wide variety of different environments from factory floor to window testing lab to homeowner applications. So I carry a pretty wide range of tools to suit my situation. The Contour Feather has been a great companion since it has a sharpening tool built into the sheath so my edge is always sharp.
For more public situations I carry a SAK Farmer X which has a good blade and reamer tool for drilling impromptu holes and tightening the occasional mounting screw. I missed the toothpick and tweezers so I clipped on a customized SAK Rambler onto the Farmer.
The smaller Phillips and straight blade on the Rambler fit the set screws used on a number of window related hardware accessories.
The Olight is the perfect size and brightness for most projects and the hat clip comes in handy when I need a hands free light. The battery in the i5t also acts as a backup for my insulin pump battery.
The Leatherman Rebar covers most of the other tool requirements and is still small enough for pocket carry.
The Space Pen is handy since it will write on nearly every surface, and I find myself transferring screw hole locations on wood, vinyl and metal window components.
The leather organizer is from a custom maker on Etsy, and holds all my tools and a few credit cards and ID cards pretty efficiently.
My watch varies by day since I recently fell down the watch collecting rabbit hole and have 50+ different watches I rotate between daily.
Last is my trusty iPhone 12s which covers all communication needs.
I have a duplicate set of tools in blue which I swap in for variety, and I’m adding a nylon tool organizer soon (in blue) so I can quickly swap color setups in the morning. I also have a larger Outdoor Element fixed blade I swap in for more outdoor heavy days, such as working in the yard.
