This casual messenger bag from Jack Wolskin starts off the list. It fits the bill for work, school, or commuter EDC thanks to its attractive urban styling and dedicated laptop and tablet compartments. Sized just right for a day’s worth of essentials at 16L, it also features plenty of admin organization to keep things in place and internal padding to protect it all. At first glance, the Leatherman Tread’s bracelet design looks nothing like a standard multi-tool. But each individual link features a different function, all in a modular design that lets you tailor it to your own needs. You can choose from a large variety of hex wrenches, screwdrivers, bottle openers, and other essentials in making your own. And because there are no blades, it’s TSA-compliant and ready to go with you when you fly.

It’s no surprise to see Redux’s ambitious COURG series of watches catching the eyes of EDCers on the site. After all, its founder is an avid EDCer himself, and shows it through the utility-driven design on each of the watches. They’re interesting crossovers: half dive watch, half pilot watch, all encased in matte titanium. EDCers and watch enthusiasts alike can appreciate the rest of its features, including a sapphire crystal, luminous hands and markers, a Japanese automatic movement, and a versatile 39mm case size.
5. Citizen Eco-Drive Aviator CA4210-16E
This Citizen Eco-Drive watch features a highly-legible pilot design with convenient chronograph and date complications added into the mix. It has a reliable Japanese quartz movement, and since it’s powered by the sun, there’s little fuss involved to keep it ticking. The 45mm stainless steel case is sized for maximum legibility, and the mineral crystal dial helps protect against inadvertent scratches during daily use. It comes with a handsome brown calfskin leather band, but it’s also compatible with any suitable NATO or Zulu bands you may have on hand as well.

You probably know Moleskine for their larger, hard-cover black notebooks. The TOPS Fieldcraft takes one of the brand’s best fixed blade designs and adapts it into a more manageable folding knife. With its 4.38″ 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, it can take on any big task you can throw at it. 1. Kizer Feist
The sleek and minimalist Kizer Feist tops the list this time around. It’s easy to see why, with a tried and tested design designed by Justin Lundquist that looks as sharp as it can cut.
