In an ideal situation, you have every tool you need at your disposal at any time. But as EDCers, we know it's not that simple. Some tools are large and cumbersome, while smaller essentials can get lost in your bag or pockets. So when Lever Gear, prolific makers of actual pocketable tools, sought to solve this dilemma, they ended up creating the CLiP system: Carry, Light, and Protect. They've just launched the first tools of the line, the BitVault and BitLight, making it easier than ever to make the most of your pockets.
At their core, the BitVault and BitLight are compact containers that carry either a bit set or small essentials like pills or emergency cash. Both have a uni-body construction made from aluminum alloy, with a sealed, watertight compartment to store your stuff. The flat form factor works with an included clip so the tools can lay flush in your pocket, with a tail end carabiner-style slot that lets you attach a keyring as well as a hex bit slot on the top so the body can be used as a screwdriver. As the name suggests, the BitLight differs from the BitVault by trading some internal space for a couple of LEDs. You can charge the light from any USB source, and it outputs 10 floody lumens across 3 levels for emergency or task lighting in a pinch.
Whether you need a compact tool case for your projects, a rugged emergency stash, or an easier way to carry your smallest EDC items, Lever Gear's new CLiP system has space to spare. They've just launched the project on Kickstarter at the link below, so you have plenty of time to pledge and customize the right tool for yourself.
