The premium stonewashed 3.1″ CPM S35VN blade is impressive right out of the box and can easily cut through paper, cardboard, rope, leather, and much more. This blade holds its edge well and doesn’t require frequent sharpening, and it is also resistant to rust and corrosion, which makes it suitable for outdoor use. As a bonus, the stonewashed finish gives it a rugged and worn-in look that hides scratches and wear. Its sheepsfoot shape lends itself to slicing and precision tasks, and its rear flipper deployment, along with riding on a bearing pivot, means it’s ready to work with a quick flick.
Its eye-catching blue anodized, orange peel textured titanium handle was designed for comfort and a smooth grip. The handle houses a frame lock and a lanyard hole for extra security and customization. Its titanium clip is 3D milled, which means it has a curved shape that conforms to the handle and the pocket and is reversible for left or right-hand carry.
One of the best things about the Model 6 is that it comes in a wide range of combinations that cater to every budget and style preference. You can choose from various handle materials like carbon fiber or G-10 scales. If you want a different blade steel, premium steels such as the CPM 20CV are also available, or you can choose 154CM steel for a more affordable option with its own set of colorways.
What we like: Tons of variations. Mix and match scales and steel to make your knife uniquely suited to your tastes, budget, and everyday use case.
What to watch out for: The frame lock is a higher-tier option than the usual liner lock, but unfortunately, along with the single-position clip, it makes the Model 6 primarily for righties. Bearings are also excellent for fast and fidgety action but can get gunked up over time and with use.
Final verdict: The Kansept Knives Model 6 is a versatile working knife that you can use for daily tasks, with an attractive design across several options that you can easily admire when the work is done.
