The collection resizes and streamlines the Active Collection’s original designs to keep the bags compact, but efficient. In some cases geometric seams are used as supports and design elements for specific compartments, such as new external water bottle pockets on the Duffel and Fit Pack 3. But Aer continues the use of their signature material details, including 1680D CORDURA ballistic nylon exteriors, YKK zippers, and Duraflex hardware.
Each of the bags now also come with a redesigned shoe compartment (that fits up to men’s size 13 shoes, 12 on the Sling Bag 3) whose lining can now be stowed away into the zippered panel when not in use. This way the extra material doesn’t get in the way of the gear you store in the main compartments. On top of the inner lining treated with antimicrobial coating to control bacterial odors and growth, you also get new laser-cut ventilation details on the shoe compartment to provide air flow.
The Duffel Pack 3, Fit Pack 3, and Gym Duffel 3 are all able to take on up to 16“ laptops in their respective padded compartments, while the Sling Bag 3 can fit up to a 13” machine. Last but not least, the three larger bags also come with luggage pass-through straps to complete the circle of fitness, functionality, and flight, when the time comes.
