Giveaway: Classy Casual Essentials

Who else loves free EDC gear? Every week or so, we’ll be giving away prize packages full of interesting gear we get our hands on, or very special single item prizes for you to win.

This week, we’re giving away a classy set of essentials with premium materials like leather, wood, brass, and titanium. Traditional gear like this is timeless and still functional — you can learn more about it in our Carry Smarter guide on the subject.

We’ll run the giveaway for a week. Good luck everyone, and carry on! Congratulations to Stephen W, winner of our previous Essential Accessories giveaway.

Make sure you’re logged in, then head over to our giveaway page for your chance to win the following:

  • Knomo Falmouth Backpack: It’s styled with simplicity for a clean, city look on the outside, but open it up and you’ll find plenty of internal organization for your gear. It’s designed to protect your laptop (up to 15″) and organize your daily essentials in its high-visibility orange fabric interior. Coated canvas twill fabric, aged brass hardware, and a super simple leather flap closure give it that vintage vibe for a classy carry option. ($179)

  • Cocoon Grid-It! Webbed Organizer: As if the Knomo bag didn’t have enough organization, there’s this more modular board system for keeping your gear, small electronics, and other odds and ends in place. It comes in handy especially for packing when traveling, or if you have a bag hoarding problem like I do and need to swap the same gear into whichever bag you need for the day. You can’t see it in the photos but it’s included with the bag in this giveaway, I promise. ($25)

  • Titaner Ceramic Pocket Knife: Titanium and ceramic together, in a knife. That’s not something you see every day. Ceramic blades can get sharp and stay sharp for a while. They don’t corrode so easily either, making them well-suited for food prep. But they are brittle. A titanium handle should do a good job of keeping it protected. ($70)

  • Native Union CLIC Wooden iPhone 6/6S Case: If you upgraded to the newest iPhone, you know it’s 1. not cheap and 2. slipperier than its predecessors. Native Union’s CLIC Wooden case offers some protection for your pricey device with a premium look and feel in hand thanks to its mixed media construction. The handcrafted wooden inlay adds that organic warmth to the touch and will age nicely over time. ($40)

  • Maison630 Edgar Wallet: The Edgar is another example of more natural materials coming together for an elegant carry item. It’s on the minimalist side in terms of features, but for those dressier occasions when you’re only carrying a few cards, this’ll slip nicely into your pocket. ($80)

  • Machine Era Brass Pen: This is a quality crafted pen with a compact, pocket-friendly design. It’s made from solid brass for durability and the potential of a great patina over time, but it’s not as heavy as other brass pens can get. ($34)

  • Saddleback Leather Cord Wraps: Nobody likes tangled cords. And if your cords had feelings, they’d probably appreciate some tidy cable management too. Knotting up in your pocket or bag only makes them frustrating to use and more prone to damage. Avoid the hassle with these durable, luxurious leather wraps from Saddleback Leather. Since they’re from Saddleback, they’ll probably last you until we’re in the future and everything is wireless and awesome anyway. ($35)

Prize Package Value: $463

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for participating! This contest is now over. Congratulations to Dane H, who’ll be taking home this prize. Check back soon for another giveaway here on Everyday Carry.
