Innovate, or get left behind. It’s 2016, and it’s the age of advanced materials and manufacturing. Are you still using the same old nylon, canvas, and plastic buckles in your EDC? Maxpedition sure aren’t. They’ve even made a whole new division—AGR , short for Advanced Gear Research—to take your gear to the next level. The new EDGEPEAK sling bag is one of AGR’s first products, and just from a first look, you know this isn’t like any sling bag you’ve seen before.
For starters, the EDGEPEAK is covered in futuristic materials. Dual nylon construction makes up its exterior, a combination of 500D hex ripstop and 1000D plain weave. Its front and sides use a new attachment system called ATLAS, laser-cut from 840D nylon-TPU composite. For hardware, it uses light Duraflex Xlite buckles paired with YKK zippers that come with positive grip pulls for ease of use. Its webbing won’t hurt your skin thanks to custom flexible fabric, and the EDGEPEAK‘s mesh panels won’t wear and tear due to fray-resistant gossamer mesh.
The EDGEPEAK organizes and carries as well as their other products, with a 15L EDC-friendly volume and ambidextrous straps. You can lock its main compartment to protect your valuables, and your other essentials can go into either its bottom admin pocket or the fleece-lined semi-rigid ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) top pocket for more fragile items.
