King of the Pocket Lights

J.S. Leonard
Prometheus Lights make the absolutely most solid well finished quality pocket lights on the market. The fit and finish on this light absolutely leaves everything else wanting. The feel of this light in hand is substantial solid and just reeks of quality. The QR or Quick Release refers to its ability just switch out its means of attachment. At the top of the light it has an incredibly strong mechanism that allows you to either use a keychain attachment or you can remove that and then attach a pocket clip which can be purchased separately. This allows you to rotate back in forth between pocket clip for keychain as needed.

Where the Prometheus Beta QRv2 truly shines is it's CRI and Kelvin. A CRI or Color Rendering Index is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colors of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source. Light sources with a high CRI are desirable in color-critical applications such as neonatal care and art restoration. Color temperature is a way to describe the light appearance provided by a light bulb (lamp). It is measured in degrees of Kelvin (K) on a scale from 1,000 to 10,000.
The Beta QRv2 Tint is 4500K and is by far one of the preferred colour temperatures for daytime and night time usage on TLR. Not too warm when compared to the sunlight (~5500K to 6500K) and not too cool for night time usage around old skool incandescent lights (~3000K) .
CRI is excellent at 92+. Colours are more vivid especially for the reds, which most often for lower CRI leds, would appear washed-out.
