Despite the original design being almost over 20 years old, the Benchmade Osborne continues to be a crowd favorite in the EDC community thanks to its slim design and premium build. This updated version of the knife replaces the old 6061-T6 aluminum handles for lightweight and sturdy G-10 scales accented with green barrel spacers. Another standout from the original model is that the 940-2 Osborne only comes with a plain edge in a satin finish. However, it retains everything else that made the knife great in the first place. You still get a solid 3.40" blade with its reverse-tanto shape in premium CPM-S30V steel. It also features the same AXIS lock for a smooth and secure deployment. A well-executed detent provides a consistent, snappy deployment, while the locking mechanism keeps your fingers out of the way during retraction. Thanks to dual thumbstuds and a reversible pocket clip, the knife perseveres for ambidextrous users, too. If you’re looking for a tough, yet slim knife, with a tried-and-true design, pick one up at the link below.
