The Vostok Amphibia is an automatic Russian watch that gets the job done without doing a number on your wallet. You get a modest case size of 40mm, not too big as to become bulky while still retaining a meaningful wrist presence. The case features a rotating bezel with a black face and white indicators. Staying on theme, the actual face also features a black background with oversized contrasting hour markers on the inner side, and smaller minute markers on the outer side. You’ll also find oversized Super-LumiNova glow-in-the-dark indexes at each hour for even better legibility. The Amphibia’s face is protected by scratch-resistant mineral glass, which, when coupled with a large screw down crown, gives you a full 200 meters of water resistance. Inside, you’ll find a 31 ruby jewel Vostok 2416 automatic movement which features a 31 hour power reserve along with a date complication. While the shock-proof case is made out of stainless steel, you get to choose between a steel bracelet or two different NATO straps, depending on your preferences. Oversized details, a resilient construction, and a reasonable price make the Vostok Amphibia worth a look for the next watch in your EDC. You can pick one up at the link below.

The Amphibia has an acrylic "crystal" which is not especially resistant to scratching. It is far less resistant to scratching than mineral or sapphire glass. It is very similar if not identical to material used on the Omega Speedmaster under the "Hesalite" name.
The Amphibia is a fantastic bang for buck watch and removing minor scratches on the "crystal" is not difficult.
