“Minimal“ and “stylish“ aren’t often traits you associate with a bag that can do a ton for your EDC, but that’s the name of the game for Alpaka’s latest Elements backpack. It hides away 24L under its sleek exterior, along with multiple organization and pockets to optimize your carry. Whether using it for a full day of work or as a capable carrier to free up your pockets, the Elements is built with the same uncomplicated and efficient approach that’s the signature of Alpaka’s stable of bags.

24L offers a great amount of space for a daily bag, and the Elements puts it to good use. Inside the main compartment, you’ll find an anti-scratch, padded laptop sleeve, perfect for devices up to 16“. Behind the front panel are two smaller pockets: one mesh pocket and one ripstop nylon pocket, perfect for smaller, more delicate items that you might not want to misplace. A line of webbing wraps around the inside of the Elements, designed to be compatible with Alpaka’s HUB system of magnetic and quick-release accessories, offering a unique, modular solution for managing your gear.

Alpaka chose thoughtful materials and spared no expense for the Elements’s material construction. The exterior shell is made out of 500D Black Kodra HT coated in DWR, giving the bag repellant properties against its namesake. The bottom of the bag features a reinforced 1680D ballistic nylon construction so you can place the bag down with confidence. Last but least, the interior comes in 210D Cool Grey honeycomb ripstop nylon to keep things easy on your screens and gear while still being resilient enough for the bumps and scrapes of EDC.

Hidden within the minimalist style of the exterior are three pockets: a small quick-access pocket and two water-bottle pockets on each side. The subtlety of these pockets help keep the Elements’s profile low without having to sacrifice carrying space for the day’s essentials. And low profile it is indeed, with a depth of only 5.5“. A contoured back panel assists with the slim profile, keeping the bag close to your body and helping it maintain its shape and structure.

Padded shoulder straps provide even more comfort, which themselves come with an unobtrusive strip of webbing to accommodate more accessories or HUB attachments. A removable sternum strap seals the deal, helping you redistribute the weight the bag’s weight when packing it out for a heavy day.

The Alpaka Elements is light on the back, heavy on the features, and comes with an exceptionally affordable entry price. Pre-order your own from Alpaka at the link below.
