They’re back again with an unlikely, albeit appropriate, team-up if you’re into gaming, esports, or a certain Korean MEKA pilot. With a long association as the snack of choice when you’re losing sleep over your latest Steam Sale pickup, Doritos makes its spicy mark on two of Skullcandy’s models, the Dime 2 true wireless earbuds, and the SLYR wired gaming headset.
Both come with an exclusive coat of paint in the form of UV-reactive glow graphics for this collaboration, giving you an extra pop of brightness on top of the already striking limited edition colorway. The Dime 2 comes in a compact case about the size of a car key fob, while packing 12 hours of battery life, Tile integration, and auto-connect via Bluetooth 5.2. The SLYR is a comfortable pair of over-the-ear headphones with a detachable boom mic and multi-platform connectivity by way of a 3.5mm connection.
What we like: A limited-edition collab that’s actually affordable and attainable without having to resort to botting limited drops.
What we don’t like: Would have liked to see more use of Skullcandy’s heavy hitters like the Crusher Evo and the PLYR headset.
