Besides its handsome face, on the surface, the Breitling Superocean dive watch seems like a solid take on a sport dive watch. It comes with a 44mm stainless steel case and bracelet, a unidirectional ratcheting bezel with a sapphire crystal, and at the three o’clock position, you’ll find a date window opposite a screw-lock crown sealed with two gaskets. Inside, you’ll find a self-winding mechanical Breitling 17 movement with a 38h power reserve.
But like its purpose as a dive watch, its true excellence lies under the surface. Its construction allows it to have up to 1000 meters (3,300 feet) of water resistance, about five times as much resistance as most other dive watches on the market.
