At the heart of the RANGEMAN is a shock-resistant Triple Sensor, which allows the G-SHOCK watch to keep track of altitude, barometric pressure, and temperature. It’s also able to keep track of the direction you’re going with the built-in compass, which can be a lifesaver if you start getting lost out in the field. The watch itself features multi-band atomic timekeeping, which will automatically set the time for you even if you find yourself crossing multiple time zones in a day. It’ll also set the day and date properly too, as it’s programmed all the way to 2099.
And because the watch has a built in solar panel, it’ll keep on ticking without needing regular battery changes like some other everyday carry digital watches. When the sun comes down (predictably, because the RANGEMAN tells you sunrise and sunset), you can still read the watch in the dark with its LED backlighting.
