While they’re not busy expanding their increasingly comprehensive EDC pocket tools or shining a light on our friends in the industry, Big Idea Design continue to listen to feedback and improve on their existing offerings, like the new Ti Pocket Knife II that crushed its targets in its recent Kickstarter campaign. And for good reason, as the knife comes with an impressive list of premium features and parts, like a longer but thinner profile from the original, a larger 3.25″ M390 flat ground drop point blade, and dual thumb studs instead of cutouts.
Some DNA was kept from the original Ti Pocket knife, including the titanium frame lock handle, minimal inline flipper tab, two-screw construction including a reversible clip, and caged ceramic ball bearings, but this is definitely a larger knife capable of more tasks, while refining the original’s minimal design.
There’s a lot to love in this follow up to BigIDesign’s flagship knife, and even as their 49th crowdfunded product they’ve still managed to crush their goals many times over while standing by behind the knife with a lifetime warranty. There are still a few more days to back the Ti Pocket Knife II at a reduced price of $250 (with additional pledged knives with a further discounted price down to $230), with fulfillment expected later in December.
