Any experienced diver will tell you that one of the most important factors to consider as you venture into the deep blue is visibility, and that extends to the gear you take with you. When it comes to dive watches, very few watch manufacturers take visibility and luminescence as seriously as Luminox (it’s in the brand name after all), and their Pacific Diver Automatic series of dive watches is a great example of this. As dive watches go, the Pacific Diver ticks all the boxes. Its 42mm stainless-steel case presents a large and legible textured dial protected by a sapphire crystal, all coming together to offer a depth rating of 200 meters. Powering the watch is the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, a reliable workhorse that features a 28,800 bph beat rate. Timing your dives is made easy thanks to a uni-directional bezel with a ceramic ring insert.

Three options are available, a blue dial that comes with a stainless steel bracelet, a black dial version that comes with a black rubber strap, and my personal favorite, the Midnight Mariner, which takes the crown as the most luminescent wristwatch in the entire Luminox catalog. It features 16 LLT (Luminox Light Technology) tubes and a white-textured dial fully coated with Super-LumiNova, which gives it an aquatic glow when charged and activated in dark light conditions. And if that’s not enough lume for you, the numbers on the bezel are painted with Super-LumiNova as well. The tri-color lume also adds a nice, attractive touch that makes the Pacific Diver stand out from the countless other dive watches out there.
