Tactile Turn has made a name for themselves in the everyday carry stationery space by putting out some of the best precision-machined writing implements your money can buy. And that’s just talking about their core offerings; they go even further beyond with their seasonal limited editions, where they riff on a theme and put out their best work yet. To celebrate this new year, Tactile Turn has put out the GT, with a color theme evoking the spirit of the Grand Touring cars and speed races in the classic days of motoring.

The Tactile Turn GT is built around their community-favorite Side Click Pen, with a clean and minimalist body made out of titanium. The body and hardware have been cerakoted an attractive powder blue and orange that, if you know your racing history, looks a lot like the livery of the classic GT40 Le Mans touring car from the late 70s. And with its smooth top click and side release action, you can get to writing as quick as your mind gets to it.

The included refill differs based on the exact size that you pick: the standard 5.8" pen comes with the venerable Pilot G2 0.7mm refill, the short 5.3" pen comes with the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium point refill, and the mini 4.6" version of the pen comes with the G2 Mini refill in 0.7mm. The pen also comes with a special "GT" logo machined into the pocket clip, but if you prefer, you can pick a number between 0-9 instead for a full racing vibe.

With its homage to the race cars of old built around one of the best click-action pens you can EDC today, the Tactile Turn GT will be one of the most sought-after pens of the season. While these limited releases are only made during the season they launch, you’ll be able to order them at any time during the period, which means no having to race against the clock only to have the drop sell out in minutes. If the GT makes your heart race, click the link below and add one to your cart today.
