It's a big EDC market out there, and tons of awesome gear is released all the time. We made The Drop to help you discover the latest and greatest essentials worth a spot in your EDC.

When it comes to everyday carry, using a fountain pen is an excellent way to stand out from the crowd. You get plus points if you carry a fountain pen with added style and flair. BENU manufactures fine fountain pens with a unique design language and big, bold, and bright designs that make each pen unique. One look at their new Cat's Eye, Hawk's Eye, and Tiger's Eye collection of Talisman fountain pens will catch your eye with a stunning design based on beautiful quartz crystals and a finish that makes each pen a unique piece of art and a functional EDC tool.

BENU's Talisman collection focuses on materials and minerals that some believe hold extraordinary power. While the quartz-look design of the Cat's Eye, Hawk's Eye, and Tiger's Eye does not contain the stone, the masterful resin treatment gives them a unique look. Each pen features a reliable SCHMIDT #6 stainless steel nib that's smooth writing and comfortable to handle. For your convenience, each BENU Talisman pen works with standard international short and long ink cartridges. Using a converter, you can also use the pen's body with the ink of your choice. You can also turn the inner body into a large ink reservoir with an eyedropper.

What we like: The way BENU fashions the resin body makes each Cat's Eye, Hawk's Eye, and Tiger's Eye Talisman fountain very special and different from the same kind of pen in the BENU Talisman lineup.

What to watch out for: While the twist-off cap does post on the rear of the pen, it does not screw securely into that position. If you get jostled while writing with the pen cap posted, it might fall to the ground and get damaged.

Final verdict: While we can't guarantee the BENU Talisman Cat's Eye, Hawk's Eye, or Tiger's Eye will give you good luck in the future, it's clear they are competent and beautiful writing implements that deserve your attention if you're looking for a fountain pen to add to your EDC.
