Slice Folding Utility Knife & EDC Folding Knife

When it comes to everyday carry, utility knives are trusted for the most heavy-duty repetitive tasks that regular pocket knives just aren’t made for. But the design of most utility knives leave a lot to be desired, with blades that have dangerous edges that can pop out in your pockets when you don’t need them, or can’t be folded back for extra safety. And we all know the horror stories of getting injured on the job when attention slips, or when inexperienced users get a hold of blades and start using them in ways they shouldn’t. The Slice EDC Folding Knife and Folding Utility Knife aim to deliver on both performance and safety. These smart utility knives feature blades that are safe to the touch and come with rounded points (although optional pointed-tip replacement blades are available)—all in sleek yet sturdy designs that look good in hand and perform well even with constant use. Whether you work in shipping and receiving or you’re looking to add a new utility-oriented knife into the mix, you should take a look at what Slice has to offer.

The Slice 10495 EDC Folding Knife comes with a 10404 zirconium oxide blade ground with a patent-pending grind and rounded-tip that’s safe to the touch. And while it’s designed for safety, it’s still a work-focused edged tool. In fact, Slice’s high grade heat-treated blades rate 8.2 on the Mohs scale of hardness, compared to around 5 to 6.5 for regular steel. That means they can take an edge that’s sharp enough to go through tons of cardboard boxes, tape, and other packaging that would make short work of even your hardiest EDC knives. And unlike those knives, you don’t have to spend tons of time resharpening to get back to work, because all you have to do is flip the blade over, or pop in a replacement for a fresh edge. Plus, working with the Slice EDC Folding Knife is a comfortable affair with its ambidextrous design, durable metal handle, and spring-assisted deployment that locks the blade into place in an instant, ready to go.

For a unique form factor and equally unique features, Slice offers their 10562 Folding Utility Knife, which comes with a 10562 ceramic blade that’s chemically inert, non-magnetic, non-sparking, and non-conductive. This makes it ideal for hazardous environments, paired with the safety of their finger-friendly® blade grind and rounded tip. The ceramic makeup of the blade itself, combined with its unique grind, makes the edge last 11.2 times longer than most metal utility knives, so you change out the blade less often. The design of the 10562 lets you lock it closed or open at two different angles, offering additional safety and convenience. And when you’re not using the knife you can fold it up and hang it off a lanyard for ease of carry.

When getting through repetitive utility cutting and slicing tasks is the biggest ask out of your everyday carry knife, it’s important to have the right tool for the job. Sure, sharpness is needed, but if in your line of work safety is paramount, it’s nice to have proper tools available that minimize risk in the first place. And while Slice’s EDC folding and utility knives won’t stop all accidents, with their special safer designs, anyone can go through a day’s work even when attention starts to slip, and that can make all the difference. that people in Maryland and Virginia will miss being under lockdown. Please clarify how many of your respondents claim to live in these states.
